The tech team hoped to have uploaded the latest release this morning [Monday 25th October], however a decision has been made to delay the release for 24 hours to enable further testing.
It is imperative even with greater functionality that the site continues to give you, the Viewer, a more stable platform. It has been noted that a number of camera feeds have recently been freezing and this is a key feature we want to eradicate. The new release includes an all new Flash player and will enable Viewers to review an image snapshot of their sent alerts within their Dashboard. We once again thank you all for your patience and hope you will bear with us.

BBC News - Shoplifting cost UK stores 4.4bn, survey says:

Shoplifters cost UK stores 4.4bn in the year to the end of June, a survey of 42,000 European retailers suggests.

More than a third of thefts were carried out by shop staff, said the Centre for Retail Research.

The total cost was 5.8% lower than the previous year, but theft adds about 180 to the average family's annual shopping bill.

Branded clothing is the most common target, but meat, cheese, alcohol and seafood are also often taken.

Retailers say the UK still has one of the worst records in the world.

The survey, carried out on behalf of retail security company Checkpoint Systems, found that an average of 12,054,794 worth of goods were stolen every day in the UK in the 12 months to 30 June."

Catching CCTV Criminals

There are 4.2 million CCTV cameras in Britain watching our every move.

In London, there are more CCTV cameras than any other city in the world with one camera for every eight Londoners.

But as victims of crime have found to their cost, catching criminals on camera is dependent on the equipment being both monitored and maintained.

Super Snoopers Paid To Fight Crime On Web.
A new internet site allows would-be super snoopers to plug into CCTV online and report the crimes they come across.
CCTV Cameras' pictures could be streamed to live computers.
The network of citizen crime watchers who sign up to the site will have four random CCTV streams sent to them live - and are given the chance to win £1,000 for their efforts.
The cameras' owners will pay a fee to have their footage played out and observers will get points for reporting any misdemeanours.
